About these terms

These terms cover your use of Moteful, a collection of free tools that run in your browser.

By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What you can use Moteful for

You may use Moteful for personal or commercial work, at no cost.

No account is needed, and the free tools have no usage limits.

Your files stay yours

Everything you open in Moteful is processed on your own device, so we never receive your files.

We therefore claim no rights over them. What you put in and what you get out remain entirely yours.

Acceptable use

Please do not use Moteful to process unlawful content, to infringe anyone's rights, or to break the law where you live.

Please do not try to disrupt the site, or use it in a way that harms other people.

Free tools and paid features

The tools available today are free and will stay free. Existing features will not be moved behind a paywall or trimmed back.

Paid features, if they arrive, will only add capabilities that do not exist yet.

No warranty

Moteful is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind.

We work to keep the tools accurate and online, but we cannot promise they will always be free of errors or interruptions. Please keep your own copy of any file you care about.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, profit or business arising from your use of Moteful.

Because processing happens on your device, you are responsible for the files you choose to open and for the results you produce.

Third-party services

Tips are handled by PayPal, and any future subscription would be handled by a payment provider. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the tools and optional paid features change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and significant changes will be described here.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
